Zoolights!

My parents have made a tradition out of going to Zoo lights each year, this was our third year going I believe. Of course I've gone with friends almost every year since I was a freshman in high school, so this would be my seventh year! It's fun to get together with the fam since I don't live with them anymore. I love just hanging out. The holidays make such a great excuse for quality time. My family is real funny too so we just laugh and joke the whole time we are together. We are some serious goofballs.
One of my favorite parts of the zoo is the aquarium, partially because it's an excuse to get inside and warm up because it's most likely FREEZING outside! also... there are such fun little creatures to peer at.

                      On a side note:
My mom was dying for some christmas family photos, this is what we came up with :)

Merry Christmas :)

Top 3 blog inspirations.

I used to read some of my friends blogs in high school but none of them were ever any good (sorry guys). Not that I have high expectations for blogs because I like reading all sorts of blog material but the facts in the blogs were just never interesting to me.

When I started being with Lindsay, I would read her sister in law Allie's blog and I was in love with it because it was a mom blog and I thought, HOW CREATIVE! Also, when I moved into the Tacoma House my roommate Dan was dating Libby from "Delightfully Tacky" and I instantly started reading her blog non stop, she's too creative. Another blog I really liked reading was Sheena's blog "The little red house". I really was looking for something creative and simple. These were my top 3 favorite blogs that instantly inspired me to start reading blogs daily. I am pretty much OBSESSED now. I read fitness, photography, DIY and Interior Design blogs mostly... but I also gaze through some mom blogs and fashion blogs.

I encourage everyone to check out these three though, they are great.

Dad's Christmas is starting!

Went to my dad's today and when I was little we used to go ALL out for Christmas time, I always had two real perfect and huge celebrations every holiday but especially at Christmas. One at my Moms side of the family and my dad's! So great!
Well this year is the first year my dad is out of the apartment him and Dawna lived in the last couple of years so we can finally celebrate the right way again! I am so happy! I missed getting a tree with my dad and decorating! Of course he did all of the decorating himself this year, but I give him props.
The funnest part was Dawna, Dad, Kevin, Kashina, Kyle, Kenzee and I all have Stockings hanging on the stairwell, it's so cute! I know, I know we are all K's!

ALSO PS: We went to this AWESOME neighborhood who had the entire street decorated! It was so cute. There was one particular house who is in the paper for their yearly decorating talents. It goes that you can come sit outside there house and tune your radio to the station they ask, donate some canned goods and watch a "light show" that totally goes to the beat of the songs the station plays. There are a series of 8 songs, mostly by Trans Siberian Orchestra but also the Charlie brown theme song. We watched a couple but one full one and I recorded the whole thing! Check out the video!

Momma's House

Okay my mom is amazing! She decorated her little cottage of house so beautifully! She is too talented! I really admire all the little techniques, I can't wait until she passes down all of her goods to me (;
Her tree is literally the best yet! It's so huge and it's completely full!

We don't have an actual harth or even an actual space for stockings at my mom's house so she improvises and it has always worked out just perfectly. I remember waking up on Christmas morning and there always being big sooty footprints on the carpet where Santa had walked through, and the cookie crumbs would be all over the floor... milk half full and always a note waiting for my right on the kitchen counter. I loved Santa so much, I still feel the presence of something special every year during the holiday season.
I love that my mom's side of the family always over-decorates. They take down all of there day to day decor and replace them with holiday decor. Which HELLO, makes SO MUCH SENSE! Every single person should do this, I don't understand why people don't!
I am so excited for Christmas this year! I also got really excited for my momma too because she got really into Christmas season this year. Of course she didn't beat me because I was already decorated the week before Thanksgiving! I win! BUT regaurdless, this year will be amazing and I am so excited to celebrate!

Merry Christmas Mom!

Cookie Exchange

Here are a bunch of photo's from my aunt's GORGEOUS house, we had a fun time! I mean, who doesn't have a great time taking home a ton of cookies? If you have ever been to a cookie exchange you know how fun they can be, and disturbing if you catch the wrong taste in your mouth. BUT! There were no traumatizing tastes in my mouth this year, all the cookies were YUMMY and everyone looked so cute! My aunt's house was breath taking as usual.... Needless to say, and as you'll see from the photo's... everyone needs to decorate there home with "Willow house", check out there link on the right side tab! They have tons of fun decor for the home.

Here are some photo's :)

 Nice sweater mom!

Merry Christmas!
